100% of ALL Donations Support Our Mission
GCF is proud to support a diverse range of cat welfare organizations throughout the United States
We‘re raising funds to support domestic violence victims and their cats!
Why?
Only 4-5% of the domestic violence shelters in the US accept cats. Which means a victim has to choose between seeking safe refuge or their beloved animals…
Unfortunately, over 90% of victims cite their pets as a reason they stay with their abusers. Please help us protect survivors and their pets by making a donation today.
Your Donation:
Expands safe housing options that welcome pets
Provide emergency veterinary care, pet supplies, and fostering support
Break down one of the biggest barriers survivors face when seeking safety
The money we raise from this campaign will provide much-needed funding for two invaluable organizations that are leading the way for change: Dallas Cat Lady and Safe Voices. Please read more about our incredible partners below.
Every contribution—large or small—brings us closer to a future where no one has to choose between their safety and the animals they love.
Be the ninth life. Help us make a lasting difference for both people and the pets who depend on them.

Safe Voices
Safe Voices operates two shelters for survivors of domestic abuse, as well as an emergency safe house for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. They are tireless advocates for change and are a private, non-profit organization.
Their facilities are among the few that permit cats (as well as other pets). If their shelter is at maximum capacity, they will not turn away the animal. They work directly with the local animal shelter, Androscoggin Humane, to foster the displaced cats. They aim to reunite the cats with their owners once a safe relocation has been established.

Dallas Cat Lady
Dallas Cat Lady reduces the homeless cat population through fostering, adoptions, and trap-neuter-release programs. They have helped over 10,000 cats and are a 501(c)(3) organization.
They offer guidance, resources, and foster care to displaced cats from domestic violence situations. They aim to reunite the cats with their owners once a safe relocation has been established. If that isn’t possible, they will assist with rehoming.
