About the Gaske Cat Foundation
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to make a tangible difference in the lives of cats and their owners by supporting those on the front lines of feline welfare.
What We Do
While countless cat shelters and welfare groups dedicate their energy to rescuing stray cats, providing medical care, and finding loving homes, the Gaske Cat Foundation operates as a collaborative partner. We:
Raise Funds: Through innovative fundraising campaigns, donor partnerships, and community initiatives, we generate financial support for shelters and rescue groups.
Provide Resources: We connect organizations with tools, training, and networking opportunities to strengthen their impact.
Advocate for Collaboration: By fostering partnerships among cat welfare groups, we encourage resource-sharing and collective problem-solving to address the most pressing feline welfare challenges.
Our work helps alleviate the financial burdens these organizations face, allowing them to channel their energy and expertise into their mission-critical work.
Why Give?
The need is greater than ever. Each year, millions of cats find themselves homeless, abandoned, or in dire need of medical care. Shelters and rescue groups often operate on shoestring budgets, relying on the generosity of donors to keep their doors open. By supporting the Gaske Cat Foundation, you’re not just helping one organization—you’re empowering an entire network of dedicated professionals and volunteers who share a common goal: ensuring every cat has the chance to live a safe, healthy, and happy life.
Your contributions enable us to:
Provide grants and emergency funding to shelters during crises.
Support spay/neuter programs to reduce overpopulation.
Fund specialized care for cats with medical or behavioral challenges.
Offer financial aid to help low-income families keep their beloved cats.
What Makes Us Different?
Our specific focus on funding other cat charities is a significant differentiator. While many wonderful organizations are directly involved in rescuing, sheltering, and adopting cats, we intentionally position ourselves as a grant-making body FOR them. Most are underfunded, understaffed, and under a pile of bills. Additionally, these heroes have sacrificed their personal peace. There is an inherent emotional toll that comes with this calling. Animal welfare means being exposed to the worst and best of humanity. Their work is vital, but they can’t raise money while they are on the front lines. Fundraising is a specialized skill and a time-consuming endeavor…
We’re not a shelter. We’re not a rescue group. We keep them going. It’s our greatest honor to do so.
By focusing exclusively on raising money to provide financial support for our partners, we enable shelters and rescue groups to concentrate on their core work. In turn, this approach allows us to have a broader reach and amplify the impact of numerous dedicated groups across the United States.
How Do You Choose Partners?
With rigorous due diligence. Choosing the proper credible charities to partner with is something we take very seriously. Once we investigate them to ensure they are reputable, we carefully rate them to assess. Their financial transparency, developed systems, and fair and ethical practices are reviewed. They must have a proven track record of directing funds to clear needs, accountability systems, and the capacity to make a real difference in the lives of cats.
Above all else, we are good stewards of the donations we receive. Nothing else is acceptable. Providing our donors with the confidence that their contributions are being used effectively is what we are known for—that’s why people choose to make donations with Gaske Cat Foundation. Our fundraising system ensures that your donation is directed to its intended purpose - the animal themself.
Together, we create a ripple effect of kindness, compassion, and change.
Join Us in Making a Difference

Thank you for being part of our mission. Together, we’re building a brighter future for cats and the people who love them.
Who We Are
Individually, our Board Members come from diverse backgrounds with their own respective community influences. Each member was thoughtfully chosen based on their professional or educational contributions to animals in need, outstanding personal reputation, and spirit of generosity. Together, we uphold our values of integrity, transparency, and compassion in every campaign we undertake.
The Gaske Cat Foundation's inception arose from a profound and persistent observation by Holly Gaske. While many groups were actively rescuing and caring for cats, a critical funding gap existed for their crucial needs. She dedicated considerable time to volunteering at animal shelters across the United States and became aware of this funding disparity. Seeing how many cats couldn’t be helped due to a lack of money broke her heart. Driven by a passionate commitment to change this, she initiated grassroots fundraising efforts over 15 years ago. Her endeavor organically expanded. She was garnering regional and national attention. As the volume of requests for assistance increased, it was decided to formalize operations. In 2023, with the support of a dedicated board, the Gaske Cat Foundation was incorporated. Shortly thereafter, we achieved 501(c)(3) status. Solidifying our position as a recognized non-profit entity.
100% of all donations go towards our fundraising goals and missions. Administrative support, as well as our overhead costs, are generously covered by a select group of private donors who share our vision year after year.
